J.A. Renault Cognac House was founded in 1835 by Jean-Antonin Renault in the town of Cognac, France. The Cognac House is renowned for its legendary Carte Noire blend, which dates back to 1876 and is one of the oldest Cognac recipes still in use today. It is also the first Cognac in the world to be exclusively transported in bottles. The distinctive flavor of Renault Cognac is achieved through the distillation process, which includes the use of grape sediments (solid grape content), resulting in a fruit-forward profile and enhanced maturation.

Renault Carte d’Argent XO is a perfectly harmonious blend of very old eaux-de-vie (distilled spirits). Its essence is based on the delicate balance between the enduring and refined qualities of the dominant Grande and Petite Champagne regions. The palate is delighted with notes of honey, iris, chocolate, walnut, and tobacco. The long-aged eaux-de-vie offers a velvety walnut taste and an extremely smooth aftertaste.
